One day back in 1999, my 2 year old kept me up all night and the next day, I was a mama on the verge. I called Jen in desperation, just needing her empathy. Jen popped Baby Walker in the car and came and got Jonah for me, giving me a much needed nap and a chance to reset my sanity. She did it without fanfare or seeking a favor in return. It was pure charity. That was the first time Jen rescued me as a mama and I am forever grateful.

Jen stopped by my house one day to give a baby gift to my 6 month old little lady. She told me the hilarious story she titled "The Shampoo incident of 2007". I laughed, I cried, I nearly peed my pants. I was still adjusting to our newest arrival and the jealousy of our first little lady, Jen allowed me to vent about my woes. She didn't even once look at me like "Hey lady I've got twin boys you think you can complain to me about two little girls". She listened and gave me some comfort, courage and little bit of hope to get me through my day.

If I had to give Jen a nickname, off the top of my head it would be "the Baby Whisperer." She has the uncanny ability to cuddle, love, google and ultimately calm the most crabby infant. Recently while bonding over an 8 hour Cub Scout training, I found myself giddy with happiness as she managed to entertain my cranky munchkin and obtained my caffienated beverage of choice! Jen you are my hero!!

Jen and I definitely share the front lines together. I appreciate her ability to laugh and cry at the wonder of boys with me. We swap Lord of The Flies episodes daily. I also appreciate her meanness. (Mean Mommies Rule!!) I'll never forget the Bounce House Incident with Muffin and The Diarrhea of the Mouth Speech. I love trading laundry movies when our husbands are out of town and wondering at how people seem to "do it all." My children see and love her as Momma Jen. What more could I ask for?
